Privacy policy

Ember Digital is operated by Antony Anton in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask of us. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law.

We collect as little as we can, and we use it only to answer you and to serve you as a client.

What we collect through our booking form

When you request a free strategy call at /book, we collect:

• your name and business name
• your phone number and email address
• the best time to reach you
• your message

We also record the date and time you sent it.

To protect the form from spam, our website checks the internet address (IP address) your request comes from, so it can allow no more than 5 requests in 10 minutes. That address is held only in the server’s memory and is cleared when the server restarts. It isn’t saved with your request, written to our records or included in the email we receive.

How your request is handled and stored

The booking form runs on our own website code. When you send a request, it’s saved on the server that hosts our website and emailed to our inbox at hello.emberdigital@gmail.com. That inbox is a Gmail account, so Google stores the email on our behalf. Only we have access to your request.

Clients

If you become a client, we also keep:

• your contact and billing details
• invoices and payment records (Stripe processes payments, and we never see or store your full card number)
• notes and reports about the work we do for you

Your Google and Meta ad accounts stay in your name. We work in them through our manager access, and you can remove that access at any time.

How we use your information

We use it to reply to your request, set up and hold your strategy call, deliver the services you sign up for, send invoices and keep the records the law requires. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone except the service providers named in this policy, or when the law requires it.

Your consent

By sending the booking form, you agree to us using your information as this policy describes. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing hello.emberdigital@gmail.com. If you do, we’ll stop using your information and delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Analytics and tracking

Our website doesn’t use cookies, analytics tools or tracking pixels.

Where your information is kept

Some of our service providers, including Google and Stripe, may store information outside Canada, such as in the United States. Information stored there can be subject to the laws of that country.

How long we keep it

• If you send a request and don’t become a client, we keep it for 24 months.
• If you become a client, we keep client and billing records for 7 years, which covers the 6 years the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requires.

We delete your information sooner if you ask, as long as the law allows it.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello.emberdigital@gmail.com and we’ll reply within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
